African Geopolitics is a socio-political advisory group focused on optimising effective relationships between African governments and foreign enterprises involved in natural resources and related industries. We are independent advisers to enterprises interested in working on the African continent and also to African governments keen to attract investment and commercial activity.
Resource companies throughout Africa need a strong understanding of the evolving social and political landscapes of the countries in which they operate. Transparency, accountability and integrity are corporate responsibilities that must be met and communicated towards a host-government in order to develop a strong relationship that will impact positively on operational outcomes.
African Geopolitics was founded in 2012 and is based in Perth, Western Australia, the southern hemisphere’s mining and petroleum capital. Our initial focus was French-speaking West Africa but this has now been extended to the whole of the African continent.
Our operational expertise is part of our strength and has given us an insight into the key social, political and economic issues of concern in the emerging economies in Africa. Despite our close relationships with several East and West African countries, we do not have a particular agenda when we advise and consult.
